The DNC “International Medical Integration” Program for season 2 in 2023
The International Medical Integration Program aims to improve and cultivate specialized English skills for medical students at Nam Can Tho University, as well as other universities across the country that offer medical training. This program also collaborates with the American Medical University.
Vietnamese science is well-known for two main fields: Basic Science and Medicine. The medical sector, in particular, has made significant contributions to the country’s overall development and the global field of medicine, contributing positively to the overall development of the country and elevating the prestige and position of the country’s medical sector in the international arena.
Thanks to the contributions of previous generations, it is important for the next generations to continuously imitate and study hard in order to promote and develop the medical profession of Vietnam. This will help to showcase the excellence and achievements of the Vietnamese people to the world.
The DNC Medical Club at Nam Can Tho University is dedicated to promoting international medical integration for its students. In 2023, the club organized the second season of its “International Medical Integration” program, building upon the success of the first season’s “DNC Medical Students Luggage” program in 2022. This program has garnered attention not only from DNC’s medical students, but also from students at other universities with medical training throughout the country.
International Medical Integration is a program that aims to teach and exchange knowledge and medical research methods through a digital platform. It combines Vietnamese lectures with specialized English to enhance and perfect students’ basic English skills, specialized English, and soft skills. The lectures are prepared by excellent professors and doctors from Vietnam and the United States, with the goal of helping students from the Faculty of Medicine at Nam Can Tho University and other medical students across the country integrate into the international medical environment and become global citizens and doctors.
Our programs include opportunities to share experiences and best practices in scientific research. For example, our seminar “Optimal Practices in Writing Scientific Articles” teaches students how to effectively approach different types of scientific reports and use appropriate information and data to create successful reports that meet specific criteria and scientific requirements. These reports not only contribute to individual or group research, but also serve as valuable resources for future generations to review and learn from in their own scientific research endeavors.
The program serves as a platform for fostering exchanges, connections, and support among medical students from Nam Can Tho University, Hanoi National University, Danang University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, and American Medical University.
The program series consists of 16 topics and in-depth lectures covering common diseases of 9 organ systems in the human body, including immunology, nephrology, the musculoskeletal system, hematology, endocrinology, neurology, the digestive system, the cardiovascular system, and the respiratory system.
The program not only offers specialized knowledge, but also serves as a platform for networking and exchanging ideas. Additionally, it provides DNC’s medical students with the opportunity to gain practical experience in the field of healthcare and health science research from experts, lecturers, and leading doctors.
