THE HO CHI MINH COMMUNIST YOUTH UNION AT NAM CAN THO UNIVERSITY ORGANIZED TRAINING SESSIONS ON EFFECTIVE WATER MANAGEMENT FOR THE COMMUNITY DURING THE 2023 SUMMER VOLUNTEER YOUTH CAMPAIGN

From July 9th to 28th, 2023, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union at Nam Can Tho University organized the 2023 Summer Volunteer Youth Campaign across eight locations in provinces such as Can Tho, Hau Giang, Ben Tre, An Giang, Ca Mau, Kien Giang, and Dong Thap. This campaign involved a large number of students, with nearly 300 participants. The campaign aimed to promote the spirit of youth volunteerism and dedication to the community. Accordingly, the university’s Youth Union organized several practical and effective volunteer activities, including the “Exam Support Program” and the “Green Summer Campaign”…

Notably, during the 2023 Summer Volunteer Youth Campaign, the university collaborated with local authorities at different locations to conduct training sessions on effective water management for the community. These sessions aimed to help local residents and youth members better understand the principles, methods, and techniques for managing water resources.

Moreover, the training sessions equipped youth members with practical skills for monitoring, managing, and sustainably using water resources. The participants gained a deeper knowledge of water resource management and workable methods that they could apply in reality. The newly acquired skills are expected to help improve water resource management and conservation at the local level or within organizations.

This training program by the Youth Union at Nam Can Tho University was a significant initiative to ensure effective and sustainable water resource management in the community, contributing to environmental protection and socio-economic development. It also offered students the opportunity to engage in discussions and real-world experiences in water management, allowing them to contribute their youthful energy to assist those still facing difficulties in accessing clean water. Besides, the training sessions provided valuable information on effective water management, helping local authorities develop practical strategies and actions for sustainable ecosystem development in the future.
