Overview

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, are a set of universal objectives aimed at eradicating poverty, protecting the planet, and promoting peace and prosperity for all people by 2030 in every United Nations (UN) member state. Sustainable development is a responsibility that falls on every sector of society worldwide. Achieving sustainable development requires strong connections not only between diverse goals, but also between educational institutions, government agencies, commercial enterprises, non-governmental organizations, and individuals. In this context, universities play a crucial role in facilitating progress towards the SDGs by engaging in collaborative efforts across a wide range of fields.
