Overview

To address the global challenges of environmental pollution and climate change, as well as natural disasters, the United Nations has set Sustainable Development Goal No. 13, calling on countries to work together to respond promptly to changes in climate, temperature, and weather phenomena, and to combat the risks of natural disasters.

This goal is not only the responsibility of countries, but also of individuals, as everyone can contribute to creating a peaceful and healthy world. Vietnam is one of the countries heavily affected by climate change, ranking in the top 10 countries with the most serious air pollution. In line with the Agenda 2030 for sustainable development, the Prime Minister of Vietnam signed and issued Decision No. 622/QD-TTg on May 10, 2017, which includes a national action plan to implement Sustainable Development Goal No. 13 and address the impacts of climate change. It is crucial to adapt to climate change in order to prevent economic losses and protect vulnerable populations from its effects.
