Goal 12 aims to promote sustainable and responsible consumption and production patterns that protect the environment, optimize the use of natural resources, and reduce waste. This contributes to economic growth and the improvement of livelihoods for future generations.

The NCTU has been actively implementing various initiatives to effectively utilize resources and energy, prolong product life cycles, restore natural ecosystems, promote green consumer behavior, and transition to environmentally friendly products. These efforts aim to reduce waste, increase recycling through proper waste classification, ensure safety, and ultimately enhance the overall quality of life.
