Welcoming Indian Delegation’s Visit And Working Session At Nam Can Tho University

(NCTU) – On May 22, 2024, an Indian delegation visited Nam Can Tho University to discuss cooperation opportunities in education and training, consultation, scientific research in the medical field, and cultural exchange between the two countries.

The meeting served as an opportunity for both sides to exchange and develop specific cooperation plans for the near future regarding student exchanges, staf/faculty exchanges between Nam Can Tho University and institutes and universities in India. It also involved support for short-term and long-term exchange scholarships at various academic levels for students and faculty members from NCTU to study in India. Through short-term and long-term exchanges and studies, students and learners can enhance their professional knowledge and experience international culture and research environments; staf/faculty members from both sides can share teaching experiences, academic culture, and improve training quality. The collaboration also aims to promote cooperation and sign agreements on education and training, consultation and research in the medical field, contributing to solving community health issues.

Nam Can Tho University has been and will continue to strengthen international cooperation partnerships, perfecting training programs in a modern direction to meet the stringent human resource demands of domestic and international labor markets. This is a core orientation to enhance the university’s capacity and position in the region and globally, building a dynamic, professional, and highly internationalized learning and working environment, contributing to creating global citizens. Through this, NCTU students will have more opportunities for self-development, elevating their international knowledge and contributing to the country’s overall development.

The visit and working session of the Indian delegation at Nam Can Tho University demonstrates the increasingly close cooperative relationship between NCTU and institutes and universities in India, marking an important turning point in promoting bilateral educational and medical exchanges. With strategic cooperation orientations and commitment from both sides, we are confident that this cooperative relationship will continue to develop sustainably, contributing to improving medical education quality and training high-quality medical human resources for both countries.
