The Summer Volunteer Campaign of the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Tourism & Hospitality Management in the Central Highlands Front – DNC Summer 2024

After seven days of relentless effort from July 4 to July 11, 2024, the DNC 2024 Green Summer Campaign – Central Highlands Front successfully concluded, bringing joy and meaningful benefits to Cư Kbang Commune, Ea Súp District, Đắk Lắk Province.

The campaign’s activities left a strong and lasting impact, contributing to the improvement of community life and fostering positive changes for local residents. Below are the campaign’s highlighted activities:

  1. Construction of a Playground for Children: A playground at Kim Đồng Primary School, valued at 10,000,000 VND, was successfully completed. This meaningful gift, contributed by generous sponsors and volunteers, provides children with a healthy and safe space to play.
  2. Distribution of Textbooks: A total of 50 sets of textbooks, worth 12,500,000 VND, were handed to students at Kim Đồng Primary School. These books serve not only as a source of knowledge but also as a symbol of hope, encouraging students to strive for academic success.
  3. Providing Meals for Children: Over 150 nutritious meals, including crab soup, sausages, and fruit, were distributed to children in Cư Kbang Commune, with a total value of 5,000,000 VND. These meals not only ensure proper nutrition but also bring joy to the children.
  4. Gift Giving to Students: 500 gifts, including cakes, candies, jelly, and milk, were distributed to 500 students at Lê Hồng Phong Primary School, totaling 25,000,000 VND. Though modest, these gifts brought laughter, shared happiness, and reflected the volunteers’ affection for the children.
  5. Tree Planting: Planting trees is a practical action that improves the living environment while raising awareness about environmental protection. Therefore, 500 trees were planted locally, with a total value of 10,000,000 VND.
  6. Environmental Cleanup: To contribute to building a green, clean, and beautiful community, volunteers not only planted trees but also cleaned up illegal dumps and renovated the football field and schoolyard at Kim Đồng Primary School.
  7. Support for Policy Beneficiary Families: In this Central Highlands campaign, 21 gift sets, each worth 700,000 VND—including 10 kg of rice, 1 essential goods bag, 1 box of instant noodles, and 250,000 VND in cash—were delivered to policy beneficiary families, totaling 14,700,000 VND. These gifts express deep gratitude for the families’ contributions to the country.
  8. Assistance to Underprivileged Families: Five gift sets, each valued at 250,000 VND—including 2 bags of clothes, 10 kg of rice, and 1 box of instant noodles—were given to particularly disadvantaged families, with a total value of 1,250,000 VND. These gifts offered warmth and shared support to those in need.
  9. Implementation of Roadworks: The “Bright – Clean – Beautiful” road project was equipped with 10 solar-powered lamps and lamp posts, with a total value of 50,000,000 VND. This project not only improved traffic infrastructure but also ensured safety for local residents.
  10. Scholarship Awards: Aiming to provide practical encouragement and help students stay on track academically, four scholarships, totaling 20,000,000 VND, were awarded to four 12th-grade students at Ea Súp High School and Ea Roosk High School.

The DNC 2024 Green Summer Campaign – Central Highlands Front concluded with great success, leaving behind much joy, renewed hope, and a lasting impression on the residents of Cư Kbang Commune, Ea Súp District, Đắk Lắk Province, as well as on the volunteers who joined and dedicated themselves to this campaign in the Central Highlands. It is hoped that the positive energy generated by the campaign will continue to spread widely, so that these meaningful and practical activities can help improve the lives of local people while contributing to the building of a united, caring, and sustainably developing community.
