On the morning of May 26, 2024, the Opening Ceremony of the 25th Young Informatics Contest of Can Tho City took place at Nam Can Tho University. The contest attracted nearly 200 contestants from primary, secondary, and high schools across Can Tho City.
The Young Informatics Contest of Can Tho City is organized to encourage young people and children to study and enhance their digital competence; at the same time, it helps to discover information technology talents in schools, thereby contributing to the development of high-quality human resources to serve the national digital transformation and the overall development of the country as well as Can Tho City in particular.
This is the third consecutive time that Nam Can Tho University has hosted the contest thanks to its modern facilities, advanced equipment, spacious campus, and especially the DNC Software Development and Applications Center, which fully meets the requirements of the Organizing Committee and helps contestants successfully complete their competition tasks.
According to the Organizing Committee of the Young Informatics Contest of Can Tho City, the competition has been held and maintained for 25 years. It is a useful playground to promote learning, applying informatics in integration, and various fields of life among the city’s youth.
The contest concluded with the Closing Ceremony and Award Presentation at 4:00 p.m. on the same day at Hall E2 – Nam Can Tho University.
On the afternoon of May 26, 2024, the Closing Ceremony of the 25th Young Informatics Contest of Can Tho City was successfully held at Nam Can Tho University.
Over two days of competing in creative products and programming skills, contestants demonstrated great investment and constant effort in creating innovative products and showcasing outstanding programming abilities. From building databases to solving real- life problems, they overcame limits, presented breakthrough ideas, and displayed strong teamwork spirit among contestants from primary, secondary, and high schools.
As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 71 prizes to contestants, including: 33 prizes for creative products across 3 divisions: D1, D2, D3 (1 first prize, 2 second prizes, and 5 consolation prizes) and 38 prizes for programming skills across 4 divisions: A, B, C2 (1 first prize, 2 second prizes, and 5 consolation prizes), and division C1 (1 first prize, 1 second prize, 1 third prize, and 2 consolation prizes).
Congratulations to the prize-winning contestants, and sincere thanks to the teachers, families, and all those who supported and accompanied the contest.
