With the mission of sustainable development, environmental protection has received great attention from Nam Can Tho University and has been carried out through various practical approaches. In particular, the recycling team has made continuous efforts to launch initiatives and raise public awareness, aiming to jointly reduce waste and conserve the environment.

Apart from the programs “Young Volunteering,” “Green Summer,” and “Green Sunday” that support the community, other activities such as recycling plastic bags, bottles, and unused paper have also been promoted with the aim of keeping the environment clean. The team was organized by students with a strong passion for the environment and supported by school teachers. With the knowledge and skills they gained, the students began recycling waste and turning it into brand-new items such as bags, baskets, keychains, and hats.

In 2020, the team was awarded second prize in the “Entrepreneurship Ideas and Projects Contest” in Vinh Long Province. This achievement significantly enhanced students’ motivation and sense of responsibility in reducing waste and raising public awareness for long-term sustainability.
