Signing Ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement Between Nam Can Tho University and Champasak University (Lao PDR)

To promote the training of high-quality human resources for the non-smoke industry in Can Tho City in particular and the Mekong Delta region in general, as well as to implement specific activities aimed at building a sustainable partnership in the future and innovating training programs for highly qualified personnel in the fields of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Nam Can Tho University and Champasak University (Lao PDR) have established a long-term relationship and officially signed a cooperation agreement for mutual development.

At the signing ceremony, Nam Can Tho University was represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Duy Huan – Vice Rector of the University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Ngoc Canh – Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Mr. Nguyen Tri Duc – Member of the University Council, Dr. Nguyen Thi My Linh – Deputy Head Office of International Affairs, M.A. Nguyen Anh Duy – Deputy Head of the Academic Affairs Office, along with representatives from various departments, faculties, and centers under Nam Can Tho University.

The memorandum of understanding between the two institutions focuses on key areas such as supporting the teaching and learning of human resource training, especially assisting students in gaining hands-on experience in the field of tourism. It aims to create a professional learning and research environment, enhance practical training time, and open up job opportunities for students majoring in Tourism and Hospitality Management, as well as improve their foreign language skills to meet future workforce demands both domestically and internationally.

The signing ceremony between Nam Can Tho University and Champasak University (Lao PDR) holds great significance not only for the universities but also for offering valuable opportunities for students, trainees, and lecturers in the Tourism and Hospitality Management field of both countries. It marks an important milestone in the cooperation and exchange efforts between the two institutions, aiming to strengthen teaching knowledge, scientific research capabilities, and overall academic development. Furthermore, Nam Can Tho University will make continuous efforts to build, develop, and facilitate effective collaboration in human resource training between the two universities.
