SDG 3

Overview

The “Good Health and Well-Being” Goal aims to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for people of all ages, focusing on various aspects of healthy living and healthy lifestyles.

Recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training for its health sector programs, NCTU is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS), affirming its status as a globally accredited institution for medical education. This recognition enables NCTU medical students to pursue opportunities such as the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE), positioning them for international medical careers.

NCTU, in collaboration with NCTU Medical Center, prioritizes comprehensive healthcare for the community, staff, faculty, and students through diverse initiatives. These efforts enhance access to quality health services, reduce health disparities, and promote equitable health outcomes. Through research, community support services, and partnerships with social organizations, NCTU enhances healthcare quality and addresses disparities in access for students and local communities.

NCTU offers preferential policies for staff, faculty, and students seeking medical examination and treatment at NCTU Medical Center. It also implements policies for purchasing health insurance and accident insurance for over 1,000 staff, employees, and faculty at NCTU. NCTU always encourages students to participate in community service and volunteer work to raise awareness about health care inequalities.
