The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, are a universal call to action designed to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030 in every United Nations member state. In the current context, universities play a vital role in facilitating progress toward the SDGs by engaging in collaborative efforts across multiple sectors.

Recognizing the interconnected nature of the SDGs and the importance of multilateral cooperation, NCTU strives to contribute to addressing global challenges based on its expertise and available human resources. To foster a better environment, NCTU acknowledges that every individual and organization requires support, empathy, creativity, collaboration, and concerted efforts to promote knowledge exchange, capacity building, innovation, and sustainable development through education, while endorsing multilateral diplomacy and international cooperation.
