SDG 10

Overview

In Vietnam, the gap in average monthly income between the highest-earning and lowest-earning groups nationwide remains high. This reflects the disparity and inequality between the rich and the poor in the social life of the population.

NCTU is one of the universities implementing open education, providing equal, fair, and sustainable learning opportunities for all, encouraging learners from disadvantaged backgrounds, people with disabilities, and ethnic minorities who have limited access to higher education. The university is always ready and actively participates in activities that foster connections and cultural exchanges between countries and communities.

It aims for sustainable development for learners by creating a healthy environment and supporting employment opportunities for people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups. At the same time, through scholarship policies, especially financial support, salaries, and social protection measures, the university gradually promotes greater equality. Over the years, NCTU has consistently worked to narrow inequality gaps through practical actions, contributing to sustainable value for the NCTU community.
