DNC – On October 18, 2024, the Saigon Center for Education Quality Accreditation (CEA-SAIGON) coordinated with Nam Can Tho University to conduct the official site visit for the external assessment of seven undergraduate programs
The official external assessment team worked from October 18 to October 22, 2024. The undergraduate programs evaluated during this visit included:
Representatives from the Saigon Center for Education Quality Accreditation attended the opening ceremony, including:
- Dr. Duong Mong Ha – Director of CEA-SAIGON and Head of the External Assessment Team;
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Hanh Nga – Deputy Director of CEA-SAIGON and Core Member of the Assessment Team;
- Dr. Le Hoang Vu – Deputy Director of CEA-SAIGON and Team Member; together with other members of the team.
Dr. Duong Mong Ha, Director of CEA- SAIGON and Head of the External Assessment Team, praised the University for its professionalism and diligence as demonstrated through the self-assessment report, evidence system, and overall preparation. The team was particularly impressed not only with the quality of training but also with the University’s investment in facilities and support services.
Dr. Nguyen Van Quang, Rector of Nam Can Tho University, stated: “Nam Can Tho University sincerely thanks CEA-SAIGON and the external assessment experts for continuing to accompany NCTU on its journey of continuous improvement and quality enhancement. The University is committed to further improving education quality to meet and exceed the expected learning outcomes”.

After the opening ceremony, the team began reviewing documents and evidence, working directly with staff responsible for standards/criteria, interviewing groups of management staff responsible for the professional aspects of the 7 programs, and conducting site observations of working offices of units implementing training programs, classrooms, practice rooms, laboratories, computer rooms, and other infrastructure facilities.

After 5 days of intensive work with high concentration of intellect and professional responsibility from all members of the External Assessment Team, the official survey for the external assessment of 07 training programs was successfully completed. The working sessions proceeded smoothly and concluded with the Ceremony for signing the preliminary survey minutes for the external assessment of 07 training programs.
Through this assessment period, the university has received feedback from the assessment team during the visit, conducted comprehensive reviews of all remaining processes, especially content related to self-assessment reports and evidence documentation, to enhance the training quality of Nam Can Tho University.
