DNC – On December 14, 2024, Architecture students from Nam Can Tho University had the opportunity to attend the seminar “Towards Sustainable Architecture” organized by the Can Tho City Architects Association in collaboration with Viglacera Company at Van Phat Riverside.
This was an important event within the framework of the Year-end Meeting Seminar 2024, aimed at exchanging and sharing sustainable development trends in the architecture industry.
The seminar brought together architects, Architecture students, and enterprises in the architecture-construction field, creating opportunities for parties to exchange professional experience and discuss future sustainable architecture trends. This was also an occasion for Architecture students to access valuable knowledge and experience, while strengthening cooperative relationships between NCTU, the Architects Association, and enterprises.
Attending the seminar were members from Faculty of Architecture, Construction and Environment along with students from classes cohort 8, cohort 9, and cohort 10. The seminar not only provided useful information about green materials and new techniques in architectural design, but also helped students broaden their vision about the industry’s future development trends, thereby providing creative direction for sustainable projects.
Additionally, students had the opportunity to interact and converse with experienced architects, discussing challenges and opportunities that the architecture industry will face in the future. In this spirit, the Department of Architecture also expressed its desire to have more seminars for student participation, helping them gain good direction in learning and professional practice while still in university.
