DNC – On April 9, 2024, tourism students from Nam Can Tho University participated in the “Career Week – Marriott International Vietnam 2024” event. At this event, students had the opportunity to interact with experts from hotels under the Marriott International Group, sharing success stories and their journeys to Marriott.

Within the framework of the “Marriott International Vietnam Career Week 2024” event, Tourism students from Nam Can Tho University (NCTU/DNC) along with students from other universities and colleges participated in activities at the Sheraton Can Tho Hotel, which is part of the Marriott International Vietnam system. This was an opportunity for students to explore career opportunities at Marriott International as well as network with industry experts in Tourism.
Representing the hotel, Mr. Goetz Bauer – Cluster General Manager Vinpearl Landmark 81 Autograph Collection delivered a welcome speech to the faculty and students participating in the program. He shared his personal story of pursuing his passion for working in the hospitality industry.

At the program, students from Can Tho City in general and NCTU Tourism students in particular experienced many interesting activities such as: touring the Sheraton Can Tho Hotel, panel discussions sharing success stories from General Managers of Marriott Group, direct interviews, interactive games, and more. These activities helped students develop practical work skills and effectively apply their academic knowledge in a professional working environment.
Career Week 2024 at Sheraton Can Tho was an exciting event with the participation of top managers from Marriott International. This was an unmissable opportunity for Tourism students who wanted to learn about career opportunities at this corporation and meet with leading industry experts. This event also helps NCTU’s Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management promote training activities, especially in the Restaurant and Hotel sector, working towards the goal of improving quality, integration, and sustainable development.
