Accompanying Students on Their Journey of Learning and Career Development
In the context of higher education increasingly emphasizing practical experience, Nam Can Tho University has implemented numerous practical measures to support students’ holistic development. In 2024, the university recorded 2,490 students being given opportunities to participate in part-time jobs right on campus. This figure not only reflects the university’s close attention to student life but also contributes to reinforcing Nam Can Tho University’s reputation.
Diverse Jobs, Flexible Schedules
One of the highlights of the part-time job support program at Nam Can Tho University is the diversity and variety of available positions, tailored to students’ abilities and schedules. Students can assist with admissions work, earning between 20,000 – 25,000 VND per hour, while developing communication, persuasion, and problem-solving skills. Many students choose roles in the campus parking area, cafeteria, or utility service shops—positions that provide hands-on experience in service ethics, discipline, and professional responsibility.
Beyond routine service jobs, students also have opportunities to join teams for reception, MCing, or performing at the university’s various events, earning 100,000 – 300,000 VND per session. These roles allow students to showcase their talents, build confidence in front of audiences, and expand their social networks. Additionally, students interested in creativity can participate in photography, videography, and event media teams, helping to promote the university’s positive image to the community while gaining valuable experience in media—a highly promising field in today’s society.
With such diversity, each job not only provides an income but also serves as a “real-world classroom,” helping students accumulate skills, improve themselves, and prepare for integration into professional work environments after graduation.

Stable Income – Strong Skills
Part-time jobs not only provide students with an additional source of income to cover tuition and living expenses but also serve as a valuable environment for skill development. Through real- world work experience, students learn effective time management, teamwork, and flexible communication, while also enhancing their confidence and resilience when participating in community activities. These are essential assets that help students integrate smoothly and assert themselves in the professional workplace after graduation.
Affirming the University’s Reputation
The part-time job support program for students at Nam Can Tho University not only provides practical benefits within the campus but also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Specifically, this initiative contributes to SDG 4 – Quality Education, as students not only receive academic instruction but also gain real-world experience, developing a comprehensive set of skills. At the same time, providing part-time work opportunities for over 2,490 students in 2024 contributes to SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth, giving students access to fair labor, adequate income, reducing financial burdens, and improving their quality of life.
Moreover, activities such as reception, event media, and service roles in the cafeteria or parking area promote social responsibility, aligning with SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities, as every student—regardless of their background—has access to fair and transparent part-time employment opportunities.
