DNC – Aiming to find breakthrough solutions, turn challenges into opportunities, and build a more sustainable future for businesses in the digital transformation era, Nam Can Tho University (DNC/NCTU) organized the “International Conference on Digital Innovation – Sustainability through the Lens of SDG”.
The conference attracted the participation of over 200 delegates including scientists, researchers, business leaders, and experts in the field of sustainable development on November 8, 2024.
Speaking at the conference, Dr. Nguyen Van Quang, Rector of DNC, stated that in the context where digital technology is dramatically changing how businesses operate, sustainable development has become one of the greatest challenges and opportunities today. Therefore, adapting to digital transformation helps businesses optimize production processes, minimize costs, and enhance competitiveness through automation, data analysis, and effective information management. This creates a sustainable development model, contributing to economic growth in a healthy business environment.
Regarding the improvement of business environment and sustainable development, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Premkumar Rajagopal, Rector of Malaysia University of Science and Technology, noted that there needs to be close connection between managers, scientists, businesses, as well as researchers and educators to jointly agree on solutions to turn challenges into opportunities in the current digitization phase… Additionally, digital transformation also ensures that businesses maximize the use of existing databases to create a modern working environment and better connect with educational institutions, helping students easily access information and accumulate practical experience to integrate with the job market after graduation.

The issue of sustainable supply chain and logistics management, which plays a role as one of the keys to ensuring efficient and environmentally-friendly product flow from suppliers to consumers, was also emphasized by many experts. This is considered a crucial factor helping businesses optimize operations while achieving sustainable development goals.
