DNC – On the afternoon of December 6, 2024, at Building E of Nam Can Tho University, a cooperation signing ceremony took place between Nam Can Tho University and Ugandan universities, including Busitema University and Nkumba University. This is an important event marking progress in international cooperation relations, aimed at strengthening training partnerships and exchanges between the parties.
Busitema University is one of the leading public universities in Uganda, distinguished by its high-quality training programs in engineering and technology, agriculture, medicine, and education. The university always focuses on applied research and developing innovative solutions to meet the needs of the East African region and internationally.
Nkumba University is a prestigious private university headquartered in Entebbe, Uganda, with strengths in multidisciplinary training, from business and hospitality management to information technology and law. The university continuously expands international cooperation, improves education quality, and trains human resources to meet globalization trends.
Within the framework of the signing ceremony, both sides discussed and agreed on specific cooperation contents such as:
– International student and faculty exchange
Students from Ugandan universities will study at Nam Can Tho University in fields such as health sciences, business administration, mechanical engineering, information technology, architecture and construction, environment, tourism, and hotel-restaurant management.
– Scientific research collaboration
Promoting joint research projects, focusing on socio-economic and scientific-technological fields.
– Study abroad consultation and support
Nam Can Tho University will cooperate closely to provide consultation and support for Ugandan students to access high-quality educational environments in Vietnam.
The cooperation signing program not only aims to improve the educational training quality of participating parties but also contributes to finding suitable academic programs, promoting the development of high-quality human resources.
Nam Can Tho University sets the goal of becoming a center for high-quality human resource training, meeting labor market demands and international cooperation needs. With its strategy of expanding educational cooperation, the university strives to achieve prestige on par with advanced universities in the Southeast Asian region, especially in health sciences, socio-economics, and science-technology fields.
