DNC – Recently, Hue Central Hospital and Nam Can Tho University – Nam Can Tho Medical Center have signed a cooperation agreement on human resource training, medical treatment, and brand promotion.
Dr. Nguyen Van Quang – Rector of Nam Can Tho University stated: “The cooperation between Nam Can Tho University – Nam Can Tho Medical Center and Hue Central Hospital will open opportunities and mark turning points in collaboration and exchange between the two parties in many fields.”
Specifically, Hue Central Hospital will support the enhancement of knowledge, teaching skills, and scientific research capacity in health sector human resource training at Nam Can Tho University to provide quality healthcare personnel for society. Additionally, they will transfer medical techniques to the team of doctors, physicians, and technicians at Nam Can Tho Medical Center; provide remote consultation and treatment advice for patients at Nam Can Tho Medical Center in cases of severe illness
The cooperation will help strengthen collaborative relationships between the parties, creating information connectivity between Nam Can Tho University, Nam Can Tho Medical Center, and Hue Central Hospital in brand promotion.

In the immediate future, Hue Central Hospital will send specialists to Nam Can Tho Medical Center to transfer advanced techniques in cardiovascular intervention, stroke treatment, and surgery to the medical staff at Nam Can Tho Medical Center; combine sending hospital experts to participate in training work as well as accepting health sector students from Nam Can Tho University for internships at Hue Central Hospital.
Nam Can Tho Medical Center has a capacity of 200 beds, with 29 departments and functional rooms, staffed by nearly 300 personnel including advisory experts, doctors, nurses, and medical staff from domestic and international hospitals.

In recent times, Nam Can Tho Medical Center has been a trusted address for medical treatment for residents of Can Tho City and the Mekong Delta region. Particularly, the Medical Center has supported many public hospitals in Can Tho City, contributing to maintaining operations amid difficulties faced by hospitals due to shortages of treatment drugs, chemicals, supplies, and equipment caused by procurement regulation obstacles.
