Meeting to Celebrate Vietnam Architecture Day – Award Ceremony of the “Gateway Arch Idea Contest of Can Tho City”

DNC – In a solemn and inspiring atmosphere, the celebration of Vietnam Architecture Day took place at Van Phat Convention Center, marking an important milestone in honoring the contributions of architecture to urban development. The contest “Gateway Arch Idea of Can Tho City” was not only an event showcasing the talents and creativity of students but also a crucial stepping stone towards a new era of beautifying and developing urban spaces. This event also offered architecture students the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities and passion, thereby contributing to building and shaping a more beautiful and modern Can Tho City.

With the participation of many students from universities and colleges, the contest became an exciting playground where unique and creative ideas converged. The results demonstrated that the efforts and talents of architecture students are limitless. Students Truong Phuoc Khang and Nguyen Chi Hien won First Prize with their unique and impressive design.

Meanwhile, Phan Khanh Duy, Truong Khanh Duy, and Vo Cao Tuan also performed excellently, earning Second Prize. All of them are third-year students from class DH21KTR01, showing maturity in design thinking and continuous creativity.

The success of the contest was not only a source of pride for the students but also proof of the strong growth of the architecture major at Nam Can Tho University (DNC). It also serves as a great motivation for other students to study and strive towards becoming talented and responsible architects in the future. The event is further evidence that, in any field or competition, DNC students consistently demonstrate their intelligence, excellence, and dynamism.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Can Tho City Architects Association and the Young Architects Club of Can Tho City for their continuous efforts in creating professional playgrounds, fostering professional connections, and providing opportunities for architecture students to approach practical experience, thereby enhancing their skills and knowledge. This event was not only a chance for students to showcase their talent but also an occasion for them to learn, interact, and share experiences with professional architects, broadening their understanding and vision in the field. This will certainly be a memorable milestone and an important step forward in the development journey of each participating student, as well as in the history of Vietnamese architecture.
