DNC – Nam Can Tho University Medical Center in collaboration with Hue Central Hospital welcomed international medical students who have studied and participated in practical training in the field of surgery. Members of the Surgery Club had the opportunity to participate directly in a surgical operation at the hospital, marking an important step forward in their medical careers.
Dr. Nguyen Nguyen Thai Bao – Acting Head of Joint Surgery and Sports Medicine Department – Center for Orthopedic Trauma – Plastic Surgery at Hue Central Hospital and Dr. CKI Nguyen Huynh Quang Huy – Deputy Head of General Surgery Department at Nam Can Tho University Medical Center successfully performed an endoscopic surgery to treat acetabular labral tear. This marks an important milestone in the professional cooperation between the two hospitals, while affirming the commitment to providing optimal healthcare services to the people.
Dr. Nguyen Nguyen Thai Bao strongly inspired the students by sharing the fundamental principles of Surgery specialization, while providing practical guidance on general techniques. The doctor’s enthusiasm and extensive knowledge helped students better understand the importance and responsibilities of a surgeon.
Witnessing directly the surgery performed by leading specialists in the field of orthopedic trauma, the international medical students showed tremendous enthusiasm and determination. This experience not only opened up a realistic view of the Surgery specialization for them but also ignited their passion, motivating them to strive harder on their path to becoming surgeons in the future.
