DNC – On October 19, 2024, Nam Can Tho University successfully organized the 5th talkshow with the theme: breaking barriers and “picking up tips” for learning English. The event took place at Hall E2 and attracted a large number of students.

With the desire to create a meaningful and beneficial playground, the talkshow was a great opportunity for DNC students to improve their English skills, resolve challenging questions, and interact directly with the speakers in an open and friendly atmosphere.

The program featured the participation of Ms. Tu Quynh Nhu (M.A.) – Lecturer from the Faculty of Foreign Languages, together with two bilingual MCs: Phan Nguyen Hoang Quyen – Runner-up of DNC Golden MIC 2023, and Nguyen Ngoc Phuong Nhi – Champion of DNC Golden MIC 2024.

During the talkshow, the speakers actively shared useful knowledge, valuable experiences, and answered questions from students. This helped participants enhance their listening skills, expand vocabulary, improve pronunciation, and above all, gain motivation to communicate more confidently in English.

Beyond classroom learning, joining talkshows is an extremely effective way to study English. Students not only listened to inspiring stories about the speakers’ journeys to mastering English, but also learned practical tips and strategies. From listening practice, reading books, to making use of modern learning resources, the talkshow equipped students with valuable knowledge and skills to quickly improve their English proficiency.
Nam Can Tho University has been implementing a variety of English learning programs, ranging from specialized talkshows to dynamic club activities. These initiatives not only help students strengthen their English skills but also create a vibrant learning environment that fosters exchange and collaboration. It is hoped that this talkshow will inspire students to develop a greater love for English and actively take part in the university’s activities.
