Practical actions demonstrating the spirit of “Mutual love and care”
With the spirit of “mutual love and care” and “the healthy leaf shelters the torn leaf,” on the afternoon of May 5th, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Youth Union of Nam Can Tho University (NCTU) collaborated with the Tra Vinh Student Association Branch and the Cang Long Chapter to organize a visit to encourage and present gifts to the family of Nguyen Ngoc Tran, residing in Tat Vinh hamlet, Dai Phuc commune, Cang Long district, Tra Vinh province.
Ngoc Tran is currently a first-year student majoring in Automotive Engineering Technology at Nam Can Tho University. This petite female student is a model of studious dedication and resilience, always striving to pursue her passion for learning and rise above her family’s difficult circumstances. Ngoc Tran’s father suffers from liver tumors, severely limiting his ability to work. Her mother is also struggling daily with heart disease and breast cancer.
Recognizing Tran’s difficult circumstances, the Student Union, Chapter representatives and the Faculty delegation visited her family to offer words of encouragement and presented them with 4,800,000 VND along with essential supplies such as rice, sugar, and milk.
A source of hope and motivation
The journey to visit Tran’s family was a meaningful activity, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, love, and responsibility of young people toward the community. This was not only words of encouragement and motivation for Tran to continue striving in her studies and overcome difficulties to achieve success in life, but also evidence of our nation’s beautiful tradition of “mutual love and care” and “the healthy leaf shelters the torn leaf.”
The actions of NCTU students serve as a shining example of compassion and sharing. We hope that with the care and assistance of the community, Tran’s family will soon overcome their difficulties and have a better life.
