On December 27, 2023, Nam Can Tho University hosted a training workshop on innovative teaching methods and information technology (IT) applications for lecturers, organized by the Institute for Education Quality Assurance – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU).
Participants included:
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nghiem Xuan Huy – Director of the Institute for Education Quality Assurance, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, along with representatives and lecturers from the Institute.
From Nam Can Tho University:
- Dr. Nguyen Van Quang – Party Secretary, Rector of Nam Can Tho University
- Dr. Tran Thi Thuy – Vice Rector of the University, together with DNC lecturers.
The workshop covered the following topics:
- “Designing and Implementing Online Courses on the LMS Platform for Teaching and Learning” – This session focused on designing and managing classes on LMS, developing course content and learning activities, and creating assessment and evaluation methods to enhance teaching effectiveness, improve learning outcomes, and foster innovation in education.
- “Global Online Training Models and Their Application at VNU” – Participants explored the online training model at Indiana University, the online education framework at VNU, and the results of VNU’s online learning implementation. Lessons learned from these experiences provide valuable insights for successful application at Nam Can Tho University.
At the conclusion of the workshop, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nghiem Xuan Huy – Director of the Institute for Education Quality Assurance, Vietnam National University, Hanoi – presented certificates of completion for the training program “Innovative Teaching Methods and IT Applications in Education” to the lecturers of Nam Can Tho University.
