In the atmosphere of the days leading up to Tet Nguyen Dan Quy Mao 2024, Nam Can Tho University organized the program “Celebrating Tet Away from Home with DNC – Warm Spring Sentiments,” aimed at caring for and supporting students with difficult circumstances who cannot return home for Tet.

The program was jointly organized by the Youth Union – Student Association of Nam Can Tho University, featuring many practical and meaningful activities for students staying at the university during the traditional holiday.
The highlight of the program was the activity of presenting Tet gifts to students with difficult circumstances, aimed at sharing love, timely encouragement, and helping them feel the care and companionship of the University during this special moment of the new year. The gifts included necessities, Tet cakes and sweets, and lucky money envelopes, thoughtfully prepared and personally handed to each student.
Additionally, the DNC Spring Fair was also vibrantly organized with many distinctive booths such as: traditional folk games, sticky rice cake wrapping, calligraphy writing, lucky money giving, traditional food stalls, etc., attracting many students to participate. The activity not only brought a bustling and joyful Tet atmosphere but also created a space for connection and sharing among teachers, students, and school organizations.

Speaking at the program, a representative from the Rectorate of Nam Can Tho University said:
The program is an opportunity for the university to show care for students, especially those who do not have the conditions to return home. DNC always wishes to accompany students, not only in their studies but also in life, so that they always feel supported and gain more strength.
Sharing emotions at the program, student Nguyen Van Quan was moved to say:
Although I couldn’t go home for Tet, when participating in the program, I felt very warm-hearted. The fair atmosphere and the gifts, though small, are full of meaning and show the care of teachers and friends.
“Celebrating Tet Away from Home with DNC – Warm Spring Sentiments” is not only a material support activity but also a humanitarian action that spreads the message of love, the spirit of sharing, and community values in the university environment. This is also a beautiful tradition that Nam Can Tho University always aims for in its journey of accompanying students.
